Pastor Ron McKey kicks off a new sermon series called “I Will,” focusing on the power of making determined declarations of faith. He starts by stating his belief in miracles and his desire for the church to be a place where the supernatural happens.
He defines a miracle as when God inserts himself into our circumstances. The starting point is always a problem, not to be negative but to recognize that we all face issues where we need God to come through. Pastor Ron emphasizes that even when we’ve created our own struggles through poor decisions, we aren’t disqualified from God’s miraculous intervention.
Just as a GPS recalculates when you make a wrong turn, God redirects our steps when necessary. Biblical examples like Moses, Abraham and Peter demonstrate that human mistakes and missteps don’t change God’s willingess to recalculate our lives. Pastor Ron prays for those feeling disqualified by their past, asking God to heal wounded hearts.
He shares the importance of expecting miracles, keeping our faith strong regardless of what we see or feel. Drawing an analogy to all the behind-the-scenes work that supported their impressive Christmas production, Pastor Ron compares it to how God is constantly working behind the scenes on our behalf even when we can’t perceive it.
He notes that breakthrough comes to those who persist in belief despite any apparent evidence. Giving the example of Daniel whose prayed was heard immediately even though the answer took time, the takeaway is that the moment we call on God he responds and the tide of battle turns. Pastor Ron declares prophetically that some miracles have already been set in motion, warning people not to believe the enemy’s lies that nothing is happening.
In closing, he covers how spiritual rebirth itself is a miracle, when God instantly transforms someone’s life. Likewise, receiving other miracles starts by believing in our hearts then boldly declaring it with conviction. Pastor Ron leads the congregation in proclaiming miracles over their lives and praying for God’s breakthrough.
