Welcome to Si’s World, and my series called “LEARN TO IMPROVISE”, this is # 2
There are three levels of complexity in these videos called “Learn to Improvise” , BEGINNER/ INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED”
We are building a library of phrases for improvisation.
This backing track in # 2 is based on the track “Ripped Heart”
I have uploaded the a standalone backing track on Youtube and Spotify etc so you can jam along. It is called (Ripped Heart backing track)
In this video I have prepared 7 phrases for you, to get you started.
I will play each phrase 4 times so you can play along with me and learn by sound, as well as checking out the notation.
I have also added chapters so you can forward to any section or replay any phrase you like.
I will put a link at the end of this video to a version that just has the backing track, so you can practice and put these phrases into action.
( This backing track will also be available on Spotify)
Remember, you can alter the pitch or order of the notes, you can alter the rhythm of the notes, you can also play these phrases backward as well as forwards.
These phrases are just the beginning of your journey in improvisation.
